Can you feel the love?

I was very tempted to make this into one of those Lolcats/'I can has cheezburger' images, but for your sake and for my soul I decided to restrain myself. From Amy, and her Worry Woolie lovin' kitty:

Pssst... You can obtain your own Worry-Woolie notebook hug-buddy here: The Spiderbite Boutique

Not dead... yet.

I didn't want you guys to think that I had abandoned my dear blog. It's been a crazy 2 months. Between weddings, finding a new place to live, and new work, I've been swamped.

However, fear not! I shall return with some blog goodness this weekend. I know you are all jumping for joy! Hurrah! Ok, you're probably not, but I'm posting a blog entry anyway. At least I'm looking forward to it.

In the mean time, enjoy this little animation I made, once upon a million years ago. Hopefully it works when I post it.

Did it work...?

Winston, we hardly knew ye...

*EDIT: Winston is back in stock with a new fur that I found. Hurrah!
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Poor Winston the Nightmare Snatcher journal. It took me forever to finally post him in my shop. He waited patiently on the shelf for his moment in the sun and then what happens? They discontinue the fur he is made with. I currently only have 4 Winstons left in stock, so after that I'll have to find a new fur for him.In memory of the first incarnation of Winston, I thought we would take a look at his origins...

Above you can see Watson, my beloved mutt-dog who passed away himself in 2005. For some reason my extended family could never get his name right. They always called him 'Wilson', 'Weston', and more often than not 'Winston'. I thought it only fitting to create something as a tribute to my late friend and thus Winston was born, with his scraggily hair and snaggle tooth.

I hope that this is not the last we shall see of Winston. I hope that he will soon rise up from the dead like the cutest/fuzziest zombie you've ever seen. Till then, good night sweet prince.

In his oven at R'lyeh gingerbread Cthulhu waits baking...

I know this doesn't have anything directly to do with my "work", but in a way it is my art.... Gingerbread art. And I don't know about you, but I like my art tasty.

Rich (of Lucky Bunny) and I made homemade gingerbread cookies from scratch. We quickly discovered that the cookie cutters weren't cutting it (Do you think puns are lame or not lame? Really? Me too.), so we made our own shapes.

Contrary to popular belief, Cthulhu is a great animal lover. Above he can be seen spending time with his close friend, Mr. Squirrel.

Here in the group shot you can see clockwise starting with Mr. Squirrel, Santa (one of the few surviving cookie cutter cookies), the Woman of Willendorf, Swampmop, T-Rex, a Puffer fish, heart, and Snargle who has enough icing on him to choke a donkey. In the center you'll find the Lucky Bunny logo, a moon, and the green, sticky spawn of the stars himself, Cthulhu.

Do you like my fine Doulton™ Everyday china? I thought you would.

And last, but not least a robot, an alien, and a whale. It's almost a reenactment of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Yeah, STAR TREK, I said it. NO I'm not ashamed (please don't tell anyone I watch Star Trek...)

Robot, alien, T-Rex, Puffer fish, Woman of Willendorf, Swampmop, Lucky Bunny Logo, moon all made by Rich.

Whale, Cthulhu, Squirrel, and Snargle made by Spiderbite... me.
